The Wall Between Money and Reporting
Our funding arrangements are governed by hard rules:
- We do not accept advertising from companies that are active subjects of our investigative coverage
- We do not accept payment for coverage — favorable or otherwise
- We do not accept payment to kill, delay, or soften a story
- No advertiser, affiliate partner, or sponsor sees a story before publication
- Affiliate commissions play no role in what we investigate or how we report it
If a story is critical of a company from which the site could theoretically earn a commission, the story runs exactly as reported. Our readers would accept nothing less, and neither would we.
Affiliate Links
Where affiliate links appear, they are disclosed. Clicking through and purchasing may earn us a small commission; your price is unchanged. Affiliate relationships can begin or end at any time, and our reporting does not change with them.
Sponsored Content
On the rare occasions we publish sponsored content, it is labeled clearly and conspicuously at the top of the page. Sponsored content is the sponsor’s message, not Dog Supplement Report journalism, and we decline sponsorships that conflict with our coverage or our standards.
Conflicts of Interest
Our contributors hold no financial interest in the companies we investigate. Where a potential conflict arises — for example, a source or contributor with a relevant relationship — we disclose it to readers or recuse, as the situation requires.
Editorial Independence
Dog Supplement Report is an independent publication. Our reporting standards are published in our Editorial Policy, and our correction process — which applies equally to requests from readers and from the companies we cover — is published in our Corrections Policy.
