The pet supplement industry is worth billions, operates with remarkably little oversight, and answers mostly to itself. Claims proliferate. Labels mislead. Adverse events go unreported. And the dog owners footing the bill rarely get to see behind the curtain.
Dog Supplement Report is an investigative publication dedicated to industry transparency. We treat pet supplements as a beat the way a newsroom treats any other powerful, under-scrutinized industry: we file records requests, review regulatory filings, interview insiders and experts, examine labeling and manufacturing practices, and follow the money. Our goal is to surface the facts that marketing would rather you never read.
We are not here to condemn an entire industry. Plenty of companies act in good faith, and rigorous reporting means holding the honest actors up as clearly as we hold the dishonest ones to account. But when a claim is unsupported, a label is deceptive, or a safety problem is being quietly buried, we believe the public — and the veterinarians who advise it — deserves to know. That conviction is the reason this publication exists.
